The new Apple iPad Air and iPhone 5C beat all during Black Friday. The tablet grows by more than 51%, closely followed by the iPhone 5C with 26%.
Apple won the sales ranking of the last Black Friday, the day of traditional Christmas shopping following Thanksgiving. Despite the choice of matching gift card rather than overseas discounts, Apple has scored a record sales of iPad Air and iPhone 5C, reveals Localytics.
The analyst firm has published a report, monitoring the online presence of new electronic devices – based on the result of Friday’s discounts. The first place is taken by Air iPad with 51% more than the previous week, followed by iPad mini and iPhone 5C to 26%.
The Kindle Fire HD 7 charted next to the Cupertino, which captures the fourth place, followed by the Samsung Galaxy S4.
The data on of the iPad Air, the new 9.7-inch tablet inherited design from the iPad mini, is not surprising at all because Apple fans usually await Black Friday to accommodate a specimen, either by Apple or from other retailers. And, so it’s for the iPad mini, although, the research by Localytics doesn’t state if the winner is the first-gen or the new one with Retina Display. While, the iPhone 5C stats is amazing, even in contrast with the unedifying performance of the plastic iPhone, with the recent cut in production.
Undoubtedly, the colorful stars and stripes for $99 entry coupled with a two-year contract by operators have contributed to the push for the smartphone.
In related news, another survey shows that the iPhone 5C, despite the meager sales, conquers new clients especially switchers from Android on Black Friday and Cyber Monday promotions. A surprise came from iPhone 5S that grew by 15% despite it wasn’t discounted heavily.
