BlackBerry is all set to start offering its flagship device in the United States as every major carrier in the country gears up for the start. AT&T will start offering the BlackBerry Z10 device starting from Friday whereas rival carrier companies Verizon and T-Mobile will start offering this smartphone from next week.

Another interesting point is that BlackBerry will be announcing the results for the fourth fiscal quarter that ended on the 2nd of March. It will be announced next Thursday, on 28th March when we get the first report which will include the initial sales of the BlackBerry Z10.

Let’s not forget that ‘BlackBerry 10’ as a whole is the final attempt that has been made by the company in order to get back the share it has lost over the period of time and at the same time be able to become one of the most popular smartphone manufacturers in the world.

The BlackBerry 10 ecosystem consists of the new BlackBerry 10 operating system, the BlackBerry Z10 and Q10 smartphones and the new BlackBerry World online store.

Even though the US release will not affect this report as it ended on the 2nd of March, it will definitely include sales information from markets like the UK, Canada and India where the BlackBerry Z10 was made available in the month of February itself.

A good or rather very good sales report will indicate that the company has been able to accomplish its goal and will have a chance to continue doing the great work of bringing the BlackBerry back to the top where it once belonged.

There are a lot of positive results as we have even seen BlackBerry shares going up since the last month. Even before the launch of the Z10 in the US, BlackBerry shares have jumped more than 20% this month.

Whatever be the case, one thing is very clear – BlackBerry has to perform very good in the United States in order to keep up the fight against major challenges, which include manufacturers like Apple and Samsung, and operating systems like the iOS and Android.
