Asus Google Nexus 7 tablet will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset instead of the Nvidia Tegra chipset present in the current version.
Google seems to have plans for the successor of the current Google Nexus 7 tablet. Google has already been extremely successful with the Nexus series of smartphones and tablets. Google has the Nexus 4 smartphone that has been manufactured by LG and the Nexus 7 tablet from Asus.
Recent reports indicate that Google is now planning to come up with another version of the Google Nexus 7 which will actually be the successor to the current Nexus 7. We do not have information about what this new tablet will be named but we do know that it will be better than the current Nexus 7.
This new Google Nexus 7 will take over the current Nexus 7 tablet and just like the current tablet, it will be available at an extremely economic price tag. Reports also say that this new Google Nexus 7 will be launched in the month of July.
Two separate sources informed Reuters that Google is planning to introduce the second generation of its Nexus 7 tablet in July of this year. This new tablet will be better and faster than the current Nexus 7 but will continue to be priced effectively. The current Nexus 7 tablet is available for a price of $199 only and the same might be the case for the new tablet as well.
The second generation Google Nexus 7 tablet will also cost $199 making it economic and affordable. As a result, the older variant will be available at a discounted price of $149 making it even cheaper than it is right now.
The Google Nexus 7 tablet available in the market today has been manufactured by Asus, who might very well be the company that will manufacture the new Nexus 7. This new tablet will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon chipset instead of the Nvidia Tegra chipset present in the current version. The new version is also expected to have a higher resolution display and a thinner bezel.
