Samsung Galaxy S7 AnTuTu scores, design, specs and price rumors

With the launch of the Galaxy S7 just a few months away, more news about the upcoming handset is coming out of analysts. Apart from Galaxy S7’s chipset which recently shattered the highest benchmark scores on Antutu bagging 103,692 points, the other highlight of the smartphone would be its pricing.

According to a China-based analyst Pan Jiutang, the Korean manufacturer is expected to slash the pricing of its next flagship by 10 percent compared to the current Galaxy S6. This could certainly give Samsung the much-needed momentum at a time when pricing from other international smartphone brands like LG, Sony, and HTC are pretty high.

Meanwhile, benchmark scores of the handset leaked online suggest that the upcoming Galaxy S7 will come in two different variants with different chipsets. Reports suggest that one of the variants will get the company’s own Exynos 8890 chipset while the other will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 820 SoC. There’s also a rumor that Samsung is planning to tackle the heat issue with Snapdragon 820 by installing new heating pipes in the device.

In terms of design, the Galaxy S7 is expected to retain the same design language as that of its predecessor, as the company intends to stick with the metal and glass design we see in the Galaxy S6 and its Edge variant.

And given the recent adoption of Type C USB ports, reports suggest that Samsung Galaxy S7 will also be joining the likes of devices such as the Nexus 6P, Nexus 5X which now feature Type C USB Ports. Though, Samsung is also expected to retain the conventional microSD slot with the S7 as well.

We can expect the Korean manufacturer to showcase the Galaxy S7 at MWC early next year.
