Microsoft today announced via its Major Nelson blog that 16 new Xbox 360 titles have been added to the Xbox One backwards compatibility list.
It is the addition to the 104 titles that were added back in November as part of the New Xbox One Experience (NXOE). Some of the titles included in the list are popular titles such as Halo: Reach and Deus Ex: Human Revolution. Other notable mentions include Portal: Still Alive, Peggle along with Fable III.
Apart from it, gamers will also find some vintage Xbox Live Arcade hits to play on Xbox One such as Hydro Thunder, Braid, Motorcross Madness and Iron Brigade, along with a bunch of other titles. All in all 16 new titles have been added all of which are now playable, provide you own a physical or a digital copy of the game. If you do not own one, they can also be bought via the Xbox website.
According to the blog post, gamers have spent over nine million hours playing Xbox 360 titles on Xbox One since November 12. Most popular titles out of the lot have been Gears of War 3, Just Cause 2, Assassin’s Creed II, DiRt 3 along with Fallout 3, all of which were available at discounted prices over the past month.
“And this is just the beginning. We’re continuing to work with our publishing partners to grow our library of Xbox One Backward Compatibility titles, so stay tuned for more. We’ll be adding to the catalog on a regular basis, so be sure to check back here for the latest information about Xbox 360 titles that are playable on Xbox One,” reads the announcement blog post.
