Samsung has officially announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 series of tablets namely – Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1.

Samsung has officially announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 series of tablets namely – Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1. Both these tablets have been announced by Samsung and will be available in markets around the world from the start of June.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 have been in rumors for quite some time, and now the tablets are official. Initially Samsung announced the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 7.0 which was the only tablet in the Galaxy Tab 3 series. Now we have the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 which have been added to the Galaxy Tab 3 series.

Samsung seems to be pretty confident about these two tablets and promises consumers a unique user experience. These tablets are the first from Samsung that will run on Intel based processors and will also be very portable. It is being said that the Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 will be powered by a 1.6GHz Intel dual-core processor, but Samsung has not confirmed whether these new Galaxy Tab 3 tablets run on Intel based processors.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 8.0 and Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 will run Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and are expected to have a similar hardware configuration as well. We know that the 10.1-inch Galaxy Tab 3 will have a 10.1-inch touchscreen TFT display with a resolution of 1280 x 800. The tablet will offer 16 or 32GB of internal storage and will also have a microSD card support.

Other important features include a 3MP primary camera, 1.3MP secondary camera, 1GB of RAM and Samsung TouchWiz UI. The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 10.1 weighs about 510 grams and has a thickness of just 8 mm. So even though this tablet might not be the best when it comes to speed and performance, it definitely is one of the slimmest and lightest 10-inch tablets.

Samsung has not given out any details about the pricing and availability of these two tablets. If you are interested and want to know more, then be sure to check back later. We expect Samsung to give out the price and release dates for both these tablets very soon.
