For the shutterbugs, there will be an 8-megapixel front shooter while the rear will feature a 20-megapixel unit. Android 6.0 Marshmallow will be standard right out of the box while the new S7 and S7 Edge is also expected to come with a retina scanner for enhanced security. Dual SIM, micro SD card support along with USB Type-C port that allows for reversible charging pretty much rounds off the specs sheet.

Samsung is also believed to have developed a new pressure sensitive touch screen display which should match up to the 3D Touch that Apple introduced with the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s Plus last year.

In another development, LG too has confirmed it lined up an event on February 21 to launch its next flagship, the G5. Earlier, the South Korean giant has confirmed the G4 successor will be launched at the MWC.
