Sony Xperia XA Ultra Release Date in India: 25th July

A recent teaser released on Sony India’s social media profiles hints that the company is all set to release the Xperia XA Ultra smartphone in the country. Sony reportedly has a launch event scheduled for July 25 in India where it will reveal the price and availability details about its upcoming smartphone.

Initially, the Sony Xperia XA Ultra got listed on the company’s global website a couple of months ago. Sony has now tweeted that it has a new selfie phone under the hood, which is going to be unveiled on Monday, and widespread speculations say it is going to be the Xperia Ultra XA.

Sony India also posted a photo along with a tweet, which reads “Your perfect Selfie companion, with OIS. This Monday!” While the price details are completely hidden, Times of India is told by its sources that the price could be in the range of INR 28,000 and INR 30,000.

Talking about the Xperia XA, what is exciting about the smartphone is its 16-megapixel selfie autofocus camera alongside Sony Exmor R as well as Optical Image Stabilization. Hence, there are the undoubtedly notable amount of similarities between the phone’s specifications and what Sony is promising to offer on July 25.

Sony Xperia XA Ultra sports 6.0 inches IPS LCD capacitive touchscreen along with 1920 x 1080 pixel full HD resolution and 367 ppi pixel density. The multitouch supported display also comes with scratch-resistant glass protection and supports up to 4 fingers at a time. It has a 2700 mAh non-removable Li-Ion battery.

The phone runs Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow operating system out-of-the-box. Sony Xperia XA Ultra is powered by a 2.0 GHz Octa-core MediaTek MT6755 Helio P10 processor, 3GB RAM, and Mali-T860MP2 GPU. The phone comes with 16GB built-in storage that is further expandable up to 256GB via a dedicated microSD card slot.

It has a 21.5-megapixel primary camera with phase detection autofocus (PDAF) and LED flash. The camera also comes with several features that include geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR, and panorama. The camera is capable of shooting 1080p full HD videos in HDR mode.
