Google’s latest addition to its Pixel lineup, the Pixel Fold, has cleared the FCC certification hurdle. This comes close on the heels of the Pixel 7a and the Pixel tablet making it past the FCC in February and early April respectively. The Pixel Fold, with the model number G9FPL, appeared in the US regulatory agency’s database on April 30, and the filing references a G0B96 model. The Pixel Fold features the necessary connectivity options, which include Wi-Fi 6E, Bluetooth, NFC, 5G, and Ultrawide Band. The Pixel Fold is expected to be a high-end device with a rumored price tag of $1700 or more, positioning it as a premium device. Like the Pixel 7 Pro, it seems that the Pixel Fold will use the same dual-antenna approach for Bluetooth, which Google claims improve quality and connection. With the FCC certification completed, the Pixel Fold is one step closer to its release.
