OnePlus is all set to enthrall buyers with a new and possibly limited edition variant of its flagship offering named OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition.
For those who might already be salivating for the new OnePlus 6T knock-off are in for good news too, for the phone is all set for an international launch on Dec 11 itself.
The Chinese phone maker had earlier made known their coming together with McLaren racing, the acclaimed British Formula One racing team. Also, the partnership is all about highlighting the one thing that happens to the cornerstone of both the company’s operations – speed. Or in other words, the McLaren branded OnePlus 6T is amid to showcase the Chinese firm’s commitment to speed and performance.
The upcoming phone also comes equipped par for the course. That includes an industry first 10 GB RAM along with 256 GB of storage. The other aspects are expected to remain the same as on the OnePlus 6T, which includes among other things a Snapdragon 845 processor. The OnePlus microsite for the new phone carries no other info though there is the tagline – ‘Salute to Speed’ in obvious reference to the phone being as performance oriented as a McLaren Formula One racing car.
The OnePlus 6T otherwise features an in-screen fingerprint sensor and has a dew-drop notch at the top. It also has a dual camera setup at the rear along with an LED Flash, all of which are expected to remain the same. The color code of the new phone variant is also a mystery at the moment though the same for McLaren happens to be orange. The chances are that, the new OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition will also be sporting an orange theme.
Worth mentioning OnePlus had recently launched the 6T Thunder Purple version which featured a gradient back panel apart from of course the purple shade.
Also, the gradient back panel had the specialty of a changing visual pattern depending on the ambient lighting conditions.
Also, while no price details have been revealed yet, buyers likely will have to shell out a premium for the new phone. The OnePlus 6T McLaren Edition meanwhile is set for an India launch on Dec. 12 in Mumbai.
