Xiaomi has come up with a new model for its Mi Notebook Air range, one that now comes with the Intel Core i5 chipset though the display continues to be the same at 12.5-inches. The company has earlier launched the Mi Notebook Air powered by the Intel Core M3 chipset.
The rest of the specifications of the new Mi Notebook Air include a 4 GB RAM along with 256 GB of native storage. The 12.5-inch display boasts full HD resolution of 920 x 1080 pixels. Assisting the 7th gen Intel Core i5 chipset is the Intel HD Graphics 615 to better deal with graphics file or aid in a game playing efforts.
Weighing in at just 1.07 kilos, the new Mi Notebook Air is also as light as it can get though without compromising on features. The device offers a complement of ports that includes a USB Type-C port, a USB 3.0 port. an HDMI slot along with a 3.5mm headphone jack as well. There is a 1 mp web cam as well which that company said is capable of
shooting videos of 720p resolution.
The new Mi Notebook Air also comes with enough battery strength to support up to 8 hours of video playback, with the company also claiming 1C fast charging support as well so that the device can be up and running soon enough even after a complete drain out.
In fact, the overall look, and feel remain the same as the Core M3 model, which includes the slim build as well as thin bezels around the sides of the display. There is a backlit keyboard too while the trackpad offers enough room for comfortable operations. Further, the device runs Windows 10 Home.

As for its price, the Mi Notebook Air is priced CNY 3,999 in China which comes to around Rs. 40,500 and is already available for pre-order in the country. Color option is however limited to just Silver at the moment. Not known though when the company would be launching the new Core i5 powered Mi Notebook Air outside of China.
