With the M10 and M20 already out of the wild, it should be least surprising that now the M30 has started to make its presence felt via leaks and rumors. The new Galaxy M30 is also the biggest and the most up-market of the Galaxy M series of phones, which probably is the reason Samsung has opted to keep it separate from the M10 and M20 devices launches.
The M30 though will have several similarities with its other M series brethren, which includes an infinity-v notch design. That essentially means a V-shaped notch at the top housing the front facing cam while the rest of the front is made entirely of the display. The only disruption here, if it can be so said, is a slim chin at the bottom thereby allowing for one of the highest screen-to-body ratios in the mid-range segment of devices.
Specifically, it’s a 6.3-inch Full HD+ display that the phone comes with having a resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels.
That apart, there also are rumors of the M30 to come powered by the Exynos 7904 chipset and will be coupled to a 4 GB RAM and 64 GB of storage, for the lowest specced model at least. Also, it likely will be a 5000 mAh battery that would be powering the phone, which should be adequate given the large and pixel-rich display the phone comes with.
However, in what inarguably will be the most standout feature of the Galaxy M30 will be its triple camera setup at the rear. That will include a 13 mp primary sensor of F1.9 aperture that is complemented by two 5 mp cameras both being of F2.2 aperture. Though not confirmed, at least one of the 5 MP cameras is believed to be of the wide angle type.
The front again comprises of a 16 mp camera of F2.2 aperture and should be enough for good quality selfie shots. These apart, the rumor mill also has it that the Galaxy M30 will have a gradient design sporting hue of blue and black.
Samsung hasn’t yet stated what the price or launch details of the phone be like. That said, what is clear is that the M30 will be competitively priced to help it effectively take on the competition like Xiaomi, Honor, Oppo. Asus and the likes.
