Realme had earlier promised to launch the Realme 3 Pro in April and the company is back with the device, which will help it compete better in the sub 20k price bracket in India. And the device does pack in enough firepower to unsettle many established players, which perhaps includes the Xiaomi Note 7 Pro as well, the one device Realme said they are very keen to beat with their new Realme 3 Pro.
The Realme 3 Pro spec sheet to seems par for the course, which includes the powerful Snapdragon 710 AIE chipset coupled to Adreno 616 GPU along with three different memory and storage configurations. Those include 4 GB/ 64 GB for the base model and 6 GB/ 64 GB for the mid-tier version. The top-of-the-line Realme 3 Pro will be sporting 6 gigs of memory and 128 GB of storage. Plus, there also is the provision to add another 256 GB by way of MicroSD cards.
Another unique aspect of the Realme 3 Pro is the presence of a special gaming mode, HyperBoost 2.0. The mode gets activated automatically during game playing and aims to offer a distraction-free gaming experience by cutting off notifications, besides offering hotkey support for different actions while playing games.
As for its camera, Realme is claiming it to be the best in its class and did show off several images to back its claim. That has to do with the 16-mp primary and 5-mp secondary sensor that the phone comes with. Then there also is the 25-mp front-facing cam for selfie shots. Mention must also be made of the inclusion of Qualcomm Spectra 250 Image Signal Processor that the phone comes with and does a fine job at image processing after those have been shot.
The display is all of the 6.3-inches and boasts of full HD+ resolution along with Gorilla Glass 5 protection on the top. The basic design though remains largely the same as the Realme 3 which includes a waterdrop notch at the top and a slim chin at the bottom. Running the entire show is the Color OS 6.0 which again is based on Android 9.0 Pie.
The phone comes powered by a 4,045 mAh battery which the company said has been optimised to deliver more with each ounce of juice. As an added incentive, the battery also complies with VOOC 3.0 technology. This coupled with the 20W charger that comes bundled with the device ensures the Realme 3 Pro is up and running most of the time with minimum downtimes.
