The next Motorola flagship, the Moto Z4 has leaked online, which is hardly surprising for a phone that is due for release sometime soon. However, what sure has taken many by surprise is the company’s continued reliance on Moto Mods as exemplified by the presence of the connector pins on the rear of the leaked pics of the Moto Z4, as is a 3.5mm jack for headphones.
Other key specifications of the phone that have come to the fore thanks to a leaked marketing document include a Snapdragon 675 SoC for the processor. That said, some sources maintain the phone might eventually feature an SD 710 or even the flagship SD 855 chipset. If the latter is true, the new Z4 will no doubt be a true powerhouse and in the same league as the budget flagship phones of the likes of the OnePlus 7 and so on.

Though not mentioned in the marketing document but rumors claim the phone will come with 4 and 6 GB RAM along with 64 and 128 GB of storage. Then there will also be a Moto Mod that will enable the phone to connect to high-speed 5G networks where available.
Among the other bits known of the Z4 include a 6.4-inch full HD OLED panel with an in-display fingerprint sensor. Running the entire show will be Android 9 Pie, the stock version that will also include Google’s Digital Wellbeing and Lens along with Motorola’s own Moto Display, Moto Actions, and Moto Experiences.
A 3,600 mAh battery would be keeping the lights on and will support TurboCharge fast-charging technology. The phone is also said to have a water repellent design though no IP certification, which means it can only withstand water splashes but not complete submergence.
The phone will also come with a single lens rear camera comprising of a 48 mp sensor from Sony. The camera will use Quad Pixel technology, which means four pixels will be joined to form one large pixel to make an image of 12 mp resolution. The camera will also have a Night Vision mode to aid in low light conditions.
Further, a 25 mp selfie camera will be accommodated in the front water-drop notch and will include Group Selfie mode. The front cam too will have a specialised Quad Pixel mode to aid in low light photography and deliver sharp 6 mp images. Both the cameras will also be relying on special AI enhancements as well to deliver sharper images in all scenarios.
As for the price, it is likely to be in the vicinity of $480 though that again is something that awaits confirmation.
