Samsung has announced it is holding an Unpacked event on Aug 7 in New York, for the Galaxy Note 10. Invitations for the unpacked event are already being sent and is as cryptic as those usually are.
For instance, the invitation can be seen carrying only the image of a pen pointing to what seems to be a camera. All of it is depicted on a white background, which again is an all-time favorite color option for smartphone devices.
Also, the depiction of a pen is one of the surest signs of the launch event being that for the launch of the Note 10. After all, it’s the only Galaxy device that carries a stylus, something that also happens to be one of the signature features of the smartphone.
The presence of the camera is also significant and can, in fact, have a dual meaning. For there have already been rumors of the Note 10 to include a stylus that again will have a camera integrated into it. This was also rumored for some time already and chances are that its set to be a reality this time around.
Meanwhile, there also are rumors of the Note 10 to come with a quad camera set up this time. This would be something fresh for any Note, or for that matter the S range of flagship devices thus far. Note 9 features a dual camera setup but does an excellent job when it comes to image quality.
The S10 Plus goes one up with a triple lens camera at the rear. Now if the upcoming Note 10 indeed comes with four lenses at the rear, it’s going to be a first for any flagship phone from Samsung so far. Worth mentioning, Samsung also happens to be the first to launch a phone – the Galaxy A9 that comes with four rear cameras.
Unfortunately, the presence of extra sensors at the back proved to be more of a gimmick that having any real world significance. It remains to be seen if the Note 10 can change that perception if it indeed features a quad lens primary camera system.
Samsung Galaxy M40 launched, priced Rs. 19,990 for the 6 GB/ 128 GB model
The unpacked event gets underway at exactly 4 PM ET at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York on Aug. 7.
