A PC version of Grand Theft Auto V could be in the pipeline as the game’s system requirements surfaces on web. Although, the PC version hasn't been confirmed yet by Rockstar Games.

The unprecedented success achieved in the initial days by Grand Theft Auto V, is even more striking if you think that the title has been published only for the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 so far.

There is no edition in sight for the next-gen consoles: PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and the arrival of PC version is also a bit arcane.

Rockstar Games hasn’t yet spoken on the record, but if the rumors are to be believed, GTA 5 is coming to Windows computers soon. Today, the hardware requirements of GTA 5 has appeared on the web that is being referred as the system requirements needed to run the masterpiece.

As shown below, two sets of system requirements have been uncovered by analyzing the code of the game, one for configuration with an Intel processor and the other for those with CPUs manufactured by AMD.

Minimum requirements of GTA 5 on a PC with Intel Processors

  • Operating system: Windows XP, Windows 7;
  • Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo E4600 2.4 GHz;
  • Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 340;
  • RAM: 2GB;
  • HDD: 32GB of free space;
  • Other: DirectX 10.0.

Minimum requirements of GTA 5 on a PC with AMD Processors

  • Operating system: Windows XP, Windows 7;
  • Processor: AMD Athlon 64 X2 Dual Core 5400 +;
  • Video Card: ATI Radeon HD 3800;
  • RAM: 2GB;
  • HDD: 32GB of free space;
  • Other: DirectX 10.0.

It should be remembered that these qualifications are “minimum”, or sufficient to ensure an acceptable fluidity and a resolution that doesn’t compromise the gameplay. Clearly the best results will be obtained with much more powerful hardware components, primarily in respect of RAM and the video card.

Now, it is time to wait for the official announcement for the PC version of GTA 5. If things go as per the previous installment of the series, the wait could be of a few months. And, it seems that it’s not far fetched too and may arrive sometime in spring of 2014.
