Apple finally has a new MacBook Air to offer buyers. The company took to its Worldwide Developers Conference to announce the new MacBook Air which now comes powered by Apple’s new second generation processor, the M2 chipset. Apart from the latest Apple Silicon Chip, other highlights of the new MacBook Air include a fanless body and a new 13.6-inch Liquid Retina display. Also, while this is the first time Apple launched a new MacBook Air after 2020, the latest generation laptop is now more akin to the MacBook Pro 14-inch and the MacBook Pro 16-inch models that Apple announced late last year for which you can check this MacBook repair service.
That said, not all of the ports present in the MacBook Pro models from 2021 have made it to the 2022 MacBook Air. So, there is none of the SD card slot present in the 2021 MacBook Pro models, or the HDMI out port that allows for the fitment of an additional display monitor. However, the 2022 MacBook Air does get a pair of USB-C Thunderbolt ports, besides also supporting MagSafe charging as well.
The new Air is also uniformly thin at just 11.3 mm while tipping the scales at 2.
7 pounds. That makes it quite thin and light and fit for everyday use. Similarly, Apple is claiming the new 13.3-inch Liquid Retina Display is 25 percent brighter than the earlier model. The display comes with support for a billion colors this time while having a peak brightness rating of 500 nits.
The 2022 MacBook Air is available in a choice of four attractive shades of silver, space gray, starlight, and midnight.
