The Samsung A50 and the A30 maybe still fresh in the market but that hasn’t stopped the company from coming up with upgraded versions of both already. That makes the new A50s and A30s to be the new phones to look for in the mid-range segment though the exact pricing and launch details are yet a secret. The latest iteration is more like A50 Pro and A50 Lite.
The basic shape and size remain much the same with both the A50s and A30s though there have been some upgrades for the internals on both devices. For the A50s, the rear now boasts of a 48 mp primary sensor while the front selfie cam too has been upgraded to 32 mp, from the erstwhile 25 mp.
For the A30s, the camera upgrade involves the fitment of a 25 mp primary sensory in place of a 16 mp sensor on the A50. Similarly, there has also been a new 8 mp wide-angle lens that has been fitted as well, which makes the new A30s to come with a triple-lens rear camera setup instead of a dual-cam feature on the A30.
The A50s will also be available in 4 GB and 6 GB memory options, along with 64 GB and 128 GB of storage. The A30s will come in two models of 3 GB and 4 GB but will have three storage options of 32 GB, 64 GB and 128 GB. Then there also is the option to add another 512 GB of storage by way of micro SD cards.
Another striking aspect with the A50s and A30s is the in-display fingerprint sensor that happens to be a common feature on both phones. Everything else remains the same with the A50s which includes the 2340 x 1080p display along with the U shaped notch at the top to accommodate the front cam.
Unfortunately, the new A30s has seen a slight downgrade in terms of screen resolution which now stands at a 720p display in place of a 1080p display on the A30. The display also features a V-shaped notch at the top even though the notch is too insignificant on both phones to really make any visual impact.
Another common aspect with both phones is the 4000 mAh battery that they come with. And both support 15W fast charging, which means topping up on the juice will be really quick. Color options include Prism Crush Black, Prism Crush White, Prism Crush Green and Prism Crush Violet2 while both phones also feature geometric patterns on the rear cover that are really nice to look at.
