Pixel 7a color options revealed in the latest leak

Today, official renders of the Google Pixel 7a has surfaced online, signaling its impending arrival. That could potentially happen at Google I/O next month. Based on previous launch patterns, the Pixel 7a is ready for a full reveal, if not launch, and the upcoming Google I/O event would be the perfect opportunity for Google to unveil the device.

Based on what @onleaks has revealed, the images shown above are believed to be the official renders of the Pixel 7a, showcasing the colors that Google is planning to offer the device in. The high-resolution renders resemble the product images that we usually see in retail listings or those that are directly released by Google.

The leaked renders of the Pixel 7a, shared by @onleaks, showcase three color options – black (grey), white, and blue. While the black and white options are common for Google, they usually add a third color that brings some excitement to the lineup. The new light blue option for the Pixel 7a adds a touch of vibrancy. In contrast, the Pixel 6a was available in Charcoal (grey), Chalk (white), and Sage (green) colors.

The leaked images of the Pixel 7a confirm what was previously rumored about its design, including its similarity to the Pixel 7 and the presence of a dual camera on the back. However, they don’t reveal much else about the device’s specs or features. That said, previous leaks do provide us with a glimpse of what the Pixel 7a smartphone is going to be like.

The phone is expected to feature a 90Hz high-refresh rate display which would make for a notable upgrade from its predecessor. It may also come with 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage, along with dual 12 MP cameras. Given that the Pixel 6 series was powered by Google’s custom Tensor chip, it’s possible that the Pixel 7a may also feature a Tensor chip, potentially the Tensor G2. However, official specs have not yet been confirmed by Google.

It is expected that the Pixel 7a will be launched in June, with a possible reveal at Google I/O on May 10, and a short pre-order period. However, the pricing of the device is still unknown. While the Pixel 6a was originally priced at $449, it has been frequently discounted to $299. It remains to be seen if this will be a permanent price cut. If the Pixel 7a can be priced similarly to the Pixel 6a, it has the potential to be the 2023 Phone of the Year.
