Pokemon Scarlet & Violet’s The Indigo Disk DLC release date has been confirmed for December 2023. The DLC will continue the story from The Teal Mask and introduce new Pokemon, characters, and areas to explore.

The Indigo Disk DLC is the second and final DLC for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet. It was first announced in February 2023, and fans have been eagerly awaiting more information ever since.
In a recent interview with GameSpot, Game Freak director Junichi Masuda revealed that The Indigo Disk DLC will be released in December 2023. He also shared some new details about the DLC, including the fact that it will introduce new Paradox Pokemon, regional forms, and evolutions.
“The Indigo Disk DLC will be the final DLC for Pokemon Scarlet & Violet,” Masuda said. “We wanted to end the story of these games with a bang, so we’re really excited to introduce all the new content that we have planned.”

Masuda did not reveal any specific details about the new Pokemon that will be introduced in The Indigo Disk DLC. However, he did say that players can expect to see a variety of new creatures, including some that are very different from anything that has been seen in a Pokemon game before.
“We wanted to create new Pokemon that would really surprise and delight our players,” Masuda said. “I think we’ve succeeded in doing that with the new Pokemon in The Indigo Disk DLC.”

In addition to new Pokemon, The Indigo Disk DLC will also introduce new characters and areas to explore. Masuda said that players will be able to visit a new region that is connected to the Galar region from Pokemon Sword & Shield.
“We wanted to create a new region that was both familiar and new,” Masuda said. “I think we’ve succeeded in doing that with the new region in The Indigo Disk DLC.”

The Indigo Disk DLC is expected to be the largest and most ambitious DLC that has ever been released for a Pokemon game. Masuda said that the DLC will feature a new story, new Pokemon, new characters, new areas to explore, and new gameplay mechanics.
“We wanted to create a DLC that would be a must-play for all Pokemon fans,” Masuda said. “I think we’ve succeeded in doing that with The Indigo Disk DLC.”

Upon purchase of The Hidden Treasure of Area Zero DLC, an email with your code will be sent to the email address registered to your Nintendo Account. From the in-game menu, go to the Poké Portal, then select Mystery Gift, select Get with Code/Password, and then enter your code.
- The Mystery Gift option can be found within the Poké Portal menu option in the X menu after you unlock the feature in the Pokémon Scarlet or Pokémon Violet game. (This occurs after about 1 to 1.5 hours of gameplay, though individual gameplay time may vary.) An internet connection and a Nintendo Account is required to redeem the item in game. A Nintendo Switch Online membership is not required. Each item can only be redeemed once.
