The Apple iPhone 14 series is due out during fall season this year. While that might still be a few months away, the almost incessant stream of leaks and speculations remain unabated. Take for instance the latest on this that is claiming an all round increase in the base RAM of the iPhone models to 6 GB. What that means is that even the entry level iPhone model will start with 6 GB memory though higher models will obviously come with more memory.
However, the Pro models, that is the iPhone 14 Pro and the iPhone 14 Pro Max will come with the LPDDR5 RAM which are known for being faster and more power efficient as well. The base models, that is the iPhone 14 and iPhone 14 Max will come with LPDDR4X RAM, the same that the iPhone 13 series came with. For reference, the base iPhone 13 Mini and iPhone 13 came with 4 GB of LPDDR4X RAM while the iPhone 13 Pro and the iPhone 13 Pro Max features 6 GB of LPDDR4X RAM.
Now with even the base iPhone 14 models coming with 6 GB of RAM, expect higher levels of performance from the forthcoming iPhone 14 devices, more so given that there is also the more powerful and efficient A16 chipset that the Apple phones will come with. Apart from this, there are also rumors of the two iPhone 14 Pro models having at least 256 GB of storage. This again is double the base storage of the iPhone 13 Pro models.
However, while all of this seems exciting for iPhone fans, what has to be kept in mind is that these are rumors at best and will remain so till we have official confirmation on this. Maybe we will get to have a better idea of it all as we get closer to the actual launch windows. Stay tuned till then.
