New 2023 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro getting discounted at Amazon

It is not every day that we get to see a newly launched Apple device getting discounted. That exactly has happened though, what with the new 14-inch MacBook Pro powered by the M2 pro chipset now selling for $50 less. It had just been about a week since Apple had announced the laptop, sporting a price tag of $2,000 but is now selling for $1,950 via Amazon. The 16-inch MacBook Pro too has been provided with the same $50 discount. Specifically, it is the entry level 14-inch MacBook Pro having 512 GB of storage and a Space Gray color scheme that qualifies for the discount.

Meanwhile, Best Buy too has something to offer to buyers of any of the two laptop devices. It is in the form of a $100 voucher though that would only be applicable to members of the retailer’s TotalTech program. Now, TotalTech membership requires an annual fee of $200. So, the Best Buy offer is going to be profitable to only those who are already a member or are planning to be one. The membership otherwise comes with a few perks which include unlimited tech support, a discount on installation fees, along with a 20 percent discount on AppleCare+. All of these perks are going to be available throughout the year.

Coming to the 2023 model MacBook Pro, it comes with the same basic design as that of its predecessor but offers enhanced processing speed thanks to the integration of the M2 Pro chip this time. Battery life too is better on the new MacBook Pro. All of this can be attributed to the 10 – 12 core architecture of the M2 Pro chipset of which eight are high-performance cores while four happen to be high-efficiency cores. This allows for a 20 percent improvement in performance. Battery life similarly gets boosted to 22 hours, which is the highest it has ever been on any Mac device so far. Yet another highlight of the new MacBook Pro is its support for Wi-Fi 6E which allows for a stable and high-speed internet connection having twice the speed.
