Apple Store app recommends products based on what you already own

Updated recently on August 4, the Apple Store app has been pushed to version 4.0 with few exciting features and improvements. Out of several new factors, there is one thing which is erupting headlines at this moment – product recommendations. Yes, the Apple Store app now offers product recommendations to users depending upon the (Apple) products they already own.

Meaning, in the event that you purchase an iPad, the app will have recommendations ready for you to buy it a Smart Cover for itself. Similarly, if you are dealing with an iPhone, the app may end up recommending dock to charge and sync your device. I have not tried the app myself, but if several Media reports are to be believed, all product recommendations can be found on the Discover screen upon scrolling down a bit.

“The newly redesigned Apple Store app is a more personal way to shop for the latest Apple products and accessories. Get recommendations based on the Apple products you already own,” says Apple. “Find out which accessories are compatible with your devices. Easily upgrade to a new iPhone from your current one. Keep track of your orders wherever you go,” it adds.

However, the product recommendations feature was initially leaked by Bloomberg in late July. That aside, the app has also received more new things to offer to its users. The updated app now allows users have a glimpse of their Apple account by going to the Account tab. Not just that, it also keeps users updated about workshops or events taking place at their nearest stores.

Now it’s also possible to figure out if your order is ready for pickup or the time your reservation commences. Apple Store app has made it easier for users to find information about the products and verify their compatibility right from the device they must be using. In addition to all the stuff mentioned over here, you can also check the availability if a product you must have added to Favorites, by visiting a participating store.
